Pte. 2: Haciendo el Mural y la Maqueta del Parque Infantil La Javiela/ Pt.2: Making a Mural and Model of the La Javiela Playground

Luego de encuestar la comunidad y escribir y entregar las cartas de apoyo, l@s miembr@s de GEXPAYE se entregan a la construccion de un mural en papel y una maqueta del tipo del parque que quieren. Esta maqueta fue hecha con materiales reciclados, como carton, palitos de helados, etc.

After surveying the neighborhood and writing and handing out community support letters, GEXPAYE members threw themselves into the making of a paper mural and  model of the type of park they want. They made the model using cardboard, ice-cream sticks and other reciclable materials.

 L@s chic@s trabajan el mural. Primero lo dibujan en lapiz, luego lo colorean y finalmente delinean y definen el dibujo

GEXPAYE members work on the mural. First they drew it, then they colored it and finally they detailed it.

Secando las piezas (el arenero, el caballito, el subi-baja, el banquito, la hamaca, etc.) al sol luego de haberlas construido y pintado

Putting the pieces (the sandbox, the horsey, the swings, the hammock, etc.) out to dry after having they made and painted them

Ya todas las piezas hechas, pintadas y secas, es hora de pegarlas y terminar la maqueta

Now that all the pieces have been made, painted and dried, it is time to finish the model
