GRACIAS A LAS PERSONAS QUE ACUDIERON A NUESTRO AGUINALDO Y JENGIBRE COMUNITARIO GEXPAYE 2013 EN LA QUE DISFRUTAMOS CANTANDO VILLANCICOS EN UN RECORRIDO POR ALGUNAS CALLES DEL SECTOR TERMINADO EN UNA DE LAS ESQUINA DEGUSTANDO UN SABROSO TE CON GALLETAS .   

WE WANT TO EXPRESS OUR GRATITUDE TO ALL THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED IN OUR CHRISTMAS CAROLING AND COMMUNITY GINGER TEA TIME THROUGH THE STREETS OF THE JAVIELA, THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE WE WORK, ENDING IN A POPULAR CORNER WHERE TEA AND CRACKERS WERE WAITING FOR US.

Ferias Navideñas 2013/ Christmas Fairs 2013

Aprovechamos el mes de diciembre para ofrecer ferias donde la comunidad pudiera venir a comprar sus regalos y a beneficiarse de nuestros super-especiales precios. En nuestras ferias vendemos ropa de paca donada por nuestros amig@s de aqui y de afuera, nuestra artesania hecha por nuestros artistas Edwin Urbano y Jose Luis Marmolejos y por l@s jovenes integrante de GEXPAYE. Para estas ferias los chic@s de GEXPAYE  crearon tarjetas de navidad y ganchos de pelos. Dos de las ferias se realizaron en el Centro Cultural La Nave y una, el Mercado de Artistas en una plaza salida a la capital. El dinero recolectado en estas ferias nos sirvira de fondo para el pago de la guagua que nos llevara a nuestro proximo viaje hacia la capital a un precio inigualable a conocer el Zoologico, el Acuario, y el Museo de Historia Natural y a disfrutar de entradas, comida y meriendas gratis gracias al Ministerio de Medio Ambiente via la astronoma  dominicana residente en Alemania, Mayte Vasquez, miembra de Galileo Mobile, quien cuando estuvo visitando el pais nos honro escogiendonos para dar uno de sus preciados talleres de astronomia.

We took advantage of the month of December and hosted fairs for the community where they could buy their presents and benefit from our off-the-wall prices. In our fairs we sell second hand clothes donated by our friends from here and far, our arts-and-carfts made by our artists Edwin Urbano and Jose Luis Marmolejos and by our young members. For these fairs they made Christmas cards and hair accessories. Two of the fairs were conducted in the Centro Cultural La Nave, a cultural space in SFM, and one, El Mercado de Artistas, was conducted in a mall on the outskirts of town. We will apply the money collected in these fairs to the base price of the bus that will take us to our next community outing towards the capital city of Santo Domingo at an unbelieve price. There we will enjoy free entrances to the Zoo, the Aquarium, and the Museum of Natural History, meals and snacks thanks to the Ministry of Environmental Protection. Special thanks go to the Dominican astronomer Maytre Vasquez, member of Galileo Mobile who when visiting the country honored us by choosing to come offer one of her precious astronomy workshops.

CENA NAVIDEÑA AMIGOS Y COMUNIDAD/ CHRISTMAS COMMUNITY DINNER

ESTA FUE NUESTRA CENA COMUNITARIA Y COMPARTIR NAVIDEÑO CON AMIGOS, PARTICIPANTES Y COLABORADORES CON NUESTRO PROYECTO GEXPAYE DURANTE ESTE AÑO DE MUCHO TRABAJO EN NUESTRA COMUNIDAD Y CON NUESTRO PROYECTO. EN ESTE EVENTO DISFRUTAMOS DE UNA SUCULENTA CENA CON VARIADOS PLATOS, CADA FAMILIA COLABORANDO, PROPORCIONANDO UN PLATO, BEBIDAS O UTENSILIOS. TODOS JUNTOS PUDIMOS DISFRUTAR DE UN MARAVILLO MOMENTO. GRACIAS A TODAS Y TODOS POR HACERLO POSIBLE.

This was our Christmas Community Dinner with our friends, participants and collaborators to commemorate a year of a lot of work in our community and project. In this event we enjoyed a succulent meal made up of various dishes. Each family collaborated, contributing a dish, drinks or utensils. Uniting our efforts, we were able to enjoy a wonderful evening together. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.

Es con gran orgullo que informamos que la senaduría de la Provincia Duarte a la que San Francisco de Macorís pertenece nos ha subvencionado el costo de rentar una vivienda en su presupuesto del 2014. Le damos las gracias al Senador Amílcar Romero por su apoyo el cual nos permitirá tener un espacio donde trabajar. 

We are happy to inform that our Senador Amílcar Romero has assigned GEXPAYE a monthly amount to cover the rent of a space which will allow us to have a place for the first time. Thanks Senador.
